Artists from Broadway and International Concert Halls  Come Together to Inspire the Next Generation of New Readers

6-10 Productions, LLC  is pleased to announce the new digital, Picture Book Musical Series, Leenie’s LibraryTM, available to kids everywhere at https://www.leenieslibrary.com/

A playful combination of orchestrated songs, masterful vocals,  clever animation, and comical lyrics as script,  Leenie’s LibraryTM offers a new and fun-filled way for youngsters to practice reading while being entertained by the magic of animated musical theater.

Eileen Bluestone Sherman(lyricist) and Gail C. Bluestone (composer), the creators of the Emmy® Award winning children’s musical, The Odd Potato, offer 5 original songs (never recorded) from their early works, now reimagined as animated, musical picture books, performed by both "Broadway’s best" as well as award-winning musicians from the concert stage.  With the versatile Ricky Persaud, Jr. as musical director and arranger, each picture book musical is sure to charm every young reader.

Tony® and Grammy® Award Winner, Debbie Gravitte, lends her famous Broadway belt to They’re on Their Way to the Fair, while the incomparable Stephanie Pope, a veteran of 11 iconic Broadway productions, sings the musical woes of Freida Freihopper, the little frog with big ambition in It’s a Bore to Be Me.   Latin Grammy nominee, Flor Bromley, along with Grammy nominee, Judy Pancoast, and acclaimed, international music educator Vivian Fang Liu, play the irresistible “chatty gloves”  as they take the reader on a whirlwind tour At Mr. Weintraub’s Grocery Store.  The multi-talented Jerome Brooks, Jr. (Golden Delicious), along with Ricky Persaud, Jr. (McIntosh) and Vivian Fang Liu (Honey Crisp), are the “picture of sweet perfection” until they meet a sassy spider played by the beguiling jazz artist, Sonya Hensley, in Rotten Apples. Finally, we get a glimpse of an “out-of-this-world” game show set in a far-away galaxy, hosted by a friendly space creature, aka Ricky Persaud, Jr., in The Big Win.

Under the art direction and concept design of Eileen Sherman, the four highly skilled animators include Xiangrui Chen, Noelle Smith, Jasmine Watson, and Siyi Zhao. With the first three picture book musicals now available to kids everywhere, and the final two scheduled for the coming months,  young music and dance enthusiasts will be happy to hear that all five songs are featured on the highly anticipated children’s album, Arise Together-Songs to Inspire (Vol III) to be released in August to benefit  Pickleberry Pie, the popular hospital concerts for kids, providing live entertainment in children’s hospital wards around the nation, comforting children and their parents at the most difficult of times.

Last, but not least, Leenie’s LibraryTM, boasts a world-class company of musicians that includes Charu Suri (piano), Kelly Hall-Tompkins (violin), Karen Olson (viola), Thomas Hutchings (saxophone), Syreeta Thompson (trumpet), Alex Otey (flugelhorn/trumpet), Gera Clark (native flute), and Ricky Persaud, Jr. (percussion, bass, ukulele, bells, and guitar). Their infectious sound gives every melody that authentic musical theater pizzazz.  Leenie’s LibraryTM offers a toe-tapping, hand-clapping, fun time for all, while kids practice reading!
